This super simple LEGO Star Wars Stormtrooper action effigy looks complicated but is in fact super unproblematic to describe. Follow the pace-by-stride instructions and pictures beneath to create yours.

What Y'all Need:

  • White paper or card
  • A pencil
  • Rubber
  • Felt tip pens (ideally blackness, grayness and blueish)

How To Make:

  1. I drew my Stormtrooper onto an A5 sail of bill of fare. To create A5 carte du jour or paper, simple fold an A4 sheet in half then cut along the fold (picture one)
  2. First start by drawing the top of the helmet by sketching 1 large semicircle (or moon shape) horizontally across your folio and so two smaller semicircles attached to the lesser of the large semicircle with their concave side facing outwards on the vertical (picture 2)
  3. Then create two more than vertical semicircular shapes (a scrap more squashed looking this time and their convex shape facing outwards) – two on each side. At the bottom of each set of semicircles create an oval and draw a smaller oval inside (picture iii)
  4. Next add two squares – one inside the other and some semicircular ears on each side of the helmet (picture show iv)
  5. Add the eyes and in a higher place it two lines with a modest square on each finish of i of them (a bit like a castle wall event). Plus an open bottomed triangle shape for the nose area (picture show 5)
  6. Add some actress details (moving-picture show 6)
  7. At present to create the body draw a big trapezoid – a square with a longer bottom than acme (flick 7)
  8. Describe on two arms. To make this easier describe the line that creates the lesser of the arm first and so join it to the top of your body, curving the line as you get  (movie 8)
  9. Add a thin rectangle running horizontally along the lesser of the trapezoid and then two vertical rectangles to create legs (picture 9)
  10. Add together some hands. To make this easier describe one circle within a larger circle so use a rubber to rub a gap in each side and join the two circles together. Add some lines to the legs to split them upward into squares and smaller rectangles (picture 10)
  11. Now outline all your pencil work in black pen (picture 11). In one case you have finished use a safety to erase the pencil lines
  12. Finally add any more details you wish to at the end, such as details of his Stormtrooper armour using your other felt tip pens (picture 12)
When you've finished you can add whatever shading or extra details if you lot wish (moving picture 12)

Copying a drawing using step-past-step instructions is a great way to help children acquire observational skills, size and scale and recognising shapes.

Note how this detail drawing of a LEGO Stormtrooper is made up of lots of 2D shapes and very simple lines. If your child finds a part hard to draw, encourage them to intermission information technology down into separate 2nd shapes and then but join them together.

This is also a great opportunity to introduce, identify and discuss 2D shapes. Also mathematical vocabulary such every bit horizontal and vertical, and convex and concave.

We always recommend wearing an frock or old clothes for any crafts.
